In order to perform estimations and predictions of the bioeconomic impact derived fromdifferent management strategies, a dynamic modelling approach of the resource and thefishery as a whole is needed. In this Secetion we develop : (1) the static and dynamic versions ofthe Gordon-Schaefer (Gordon, 1953, 1954) model; (2) a distributed-delays fleet dynamicsmodel based on Smith's (1969) model; (3) yield-mortality models; and (4) age-structureddynamic models (Seijo & Defeo, 1994a).
